Darlon is a gorgeous 2 year old Dalmatian. No, she isn't a herding dog, but she does love horses. One of AHBR's foster homes is fostering her, so she is listed here to help her find a home. Darlon is a sweet girl, and unusually obedient for a Dalmatian. She loves children, and plays very appropriately with them. She likes to retrieve and play tug. She is okay with cats and other dogs, both male and female. She shows a little dominance so a home without a dominant female would be best. She absolutely adores playing with other dogs so a home with another young dog would be ideal. She is being fostered on a farm with ducks and horses, and pays no attention to either. She knows basic obedience and is house and crated trained who likes to curl up on a doggy bed in her foster home and chew on a bone. She is a beautiful dog who would do well with an active family, especially one with another dog for her to play with. A fenced yard is required. She would also do well at dog sports like agility or flyball due to her speed and willingness to please and retrieve. Contact Velleta Scott at info@arherdingrescue.org for more information.

Trudy

Arkansas Border Collie and Aussie Rescue has a new female named Trudy. She is very sweet and is very tennis ball motivated. She should be great for flyball. She also loves to play with the frisbee and Jolly Ball. Poor thing was found by Little Rock animal control with tags 5 years old on her. Get this: they were registered to a Lhasa Apso. As you would suspect, she was heartworm positive. She is currently spay and up to date on her vetting, and tested clear of heartworms as of 11/16/2002. What does Trudy need now? She needs a foster home badly. Her previous foster home did not work out. The only thing she needs above and beyond that is a wonderful home that will love her and play with her. Inquire about fostering or adopting her by e-mailing Darren Gilpin at arkansasbordercollie@yahoo.com, or call (501) 562-4364.
